I really don't want to study for this Accounting test. 101 was "fine" but 202 has me more or less lost. I really wish I could just start taking Marketing classes already. But have some random Gifs Oppo.

Wow. I went through the same thing. 101 was a blast, so I figured I would keep going. NOPE. 202 sucked ass. Good luck, it just gets worse.

As someone who's been doing OK as a marketer for a while now, I can assure you you want to pay extra special attention in those classes. Whether you are getting that marketing degree for noble reasons, or you're just a money grubbing whore like myself, marketing needs to be paid for, and its success needs very much to be accounted for (sometimes creatively). Understanding how businesses account for things also helps you know where and how to squeeze in your fees so companies don't mind as much. If it wasn't for the fact that my wife is an accountant, I'd be years behind where I am right now.

Instead of majoring in nonverbal communication, I do sometimes I wish I went to business school. Not a marketing focus though, because honestly it's hard to learn how it actually works in a classroom, but the more I learn how folks typically run their business, the more ways I find to bill them for things.

Study hard young man!

Accounting can eat a bag of dicks. Its a pain taking business classes that are not my major.

I'm an econ major and took the classes for fun, thinking I would go for a CPA for the hell of it. Hahahahahaha.

Thanks for the tip. This is Managerial Accounting so I think those aspects are whats throwing me off. I know its important, just doesn't make it any less annoying for now.

Lordy, not a option I would take. I do enjoy Econ though. Don't think I could see myself working in that field however.

Oh yeah, I can only imagine. Managerial accounting though is exactly what my job has turned into. I'm taking all the data of what my department does and then make it fit into the client's financial and operational picture. Oddly enough, excel skillz, being able to wield a pivot table, is a key hiring criteria for me right now for online marketers. I would hire my wife right now if that wasn't such a patently bad idea. Strategists are a dime a dozen, it's finding the strategist that's also a competent technician, that's the real trick.
